Hi, I’m Sophie! As a head moderator I will be monitoring the live Chats for I’m a Scientist and other projects making sure the interactions between students and scientists and other STEM professionals are running smoothly.
After I finished my Food and Nutrition bachelor’s degree in Bath, I decided to do my masters in Science Communication and Public Engagement at the University of Edinburgh. I have always enjoyed learning about science and found it inspiring to learn about different mediums that can be used to communicate science, which is why I wanted to join the team after graduating. I’m looking forward to being an part of this science outreach mission and get students excited about science!
When I’m not working you can probably find me in a cafe reading a book or trying to get better at drawing with watercolours. I also really enjoy seeing live music and hanging out with friends (especially those that have pets).
