We are recruiting for a new role – Head of Scientists*.
We need three things to run our award-winning projects: students, scientists and funding. We’re looking for someone to join our growing team to lead our work on finding, nurturing and looking after the 100’s of volunteers that we connect with school students across the UK.
We are a team driven by a clear sense of social justice and helping students often missed out by traditional engagement activities. Our project is well established with 16 of years of continual improvement behind us, and with plenty more in front of us. You will help drive that improvement every day.
You’ll be joining a team of around 10 people. The job involves co-managing the project support team alongside the Head of Education and will report to the current Project Director.
Ideally you’ll have a good understanding of the research landscape of the UK and STEM careers. You’ll know you a PhD from an ECR.
There is a formal job description: Head of Scientists.
The role is based in our central Bath office, but we will consider remote candidates based in other parts of the UK too. It is important we find the right person for the role so we are flexible. Part-time is another possible consideration.
The salary is £34,500 pa and we’d like you to start as soon as you are able. Interviews will take place in the week commencing Monday 13th May, so please send a CV and a cover letter to work@mangorol.la by 5pm on Friday 10th May. If you have any questions about the role, please do email.
*It’s not just scientists. There are engineers, computer scientists, geographers, historians, mathematicians, medics, designers and possibly another astronaut.
