Hello! I’m Jimena and I’ve joined Mangorolla to support the I’m a… projects. Before, I worked at the University of Exeter as a Student Support Administrator – working closely with international students – and I did my undergrad in Psychology at that same university. I’m very interested in interventions like Mangorolla’s that can shift people’s incorrect assumptions or stereotypes. Overall when changing those assumptions can change their future for the better.
I’ve always been encouraged to explore science by my family, friends and teachers, which is something I’m very grateful for and I want everyone else to experience too. I can see how the I’m a… projects bring scientific and/or technological disciplines closer to students in an open and non-judgemental way. I’ve loved what I’ve read from chats, the genuine curiosity and the surprise you can find there. I’m looking forward to helping with these projects!
When not at work, you can find me curled up with a good novel or trying out the coziest cafes I can find.
